Twenty Seventeen

Instead of resolutions, each year for the last several years I reflect and document incredible things that happened during that year (16 in 2016, 15 in 2015, and so on) as a way to remember all the milestones, growth, and good times.

I joked all year that this has been our most grown up year yet. A few highlights from this year’s 17 for 2017 include buying our first home, expecting our first child, and welcoming my sweet, precious nephew into the world. We were also fortunate to cross off a few bucket list items like being a part of the live audience on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert the day of the presidential inauguration (which made for an extra funny episode) and visit Prince Edward Island. Lastly, I got to watch with pride as my husband performed with the legondarly Van Morrison, meet his musical hero George Benson, and round out his year with a grammy nomination (fingers crossed!)

As for blogging, the new redesigned site and its functionalities helped me come out of a creative funk and motivated me to blog more than I did in 2016. I met so many new friends via Instagram, and also had the great fortune to do what I love by collaborating with many brands and organizations including Goodwill Akron, Goodwill Cleveland, and ThredUp.

Next year expect to see many of the posts you love including thrift style and tips but don’t be surprised to see a slight shift in the content of the blog as I begin my journey into motherhood. I’m already thrifting for our baby girl and look forward to sharing this journey with you!

Thank you so much for being a friend of Dina’s Days.

Here’s to 2018, where our biggest adventure awaits!
