Vintage Inspired Clothing

I feel like for the last five months or so, I’ve been handing over my shopping funds to local thrift store after thrift store and haven’t been to the mall or boutiques to shop or even browse. I try to allow myself two shopping trips a month, and usually after the second trip to The Village or Salvation Army,  there’s no room left-in my wallet or closet.  I haven’t even really taken the time to browse the selections of many mainstream stores online for weeks. Recently though, I went to Old Navy, Forever 21, and H&M and was both impressed and excited to see all of the vintage inspired pieces overflowing the racks and shelves. I was impressed because I’m happy to see stores carrying pieces with classic and timeless looks, and excited because this is everything I’ve been finding and picking up while thrifting. I felt compelled to share some of the vintage inspired items that really stuck out for me at these shops. One thing I found repeatedly at these stores were flowy, sheer tops {as seen here} and super feminine dresses with soft textures and colors. Sure, quality at places like Forever 21 is always an issue but if you’re into this look and don’t have the patience to sort through jam packed racks at thrift stores, I think some of these items are great pieces to have for their versatility. Grab links and more after the jump.
