Thrift Challenge No. 8: Tulle

Last month Katie and I asked you to help us decide what we should recreate for the August thrift challenge and I wasn’t surprised when this tulle outfit from Seams for a Desire won the majority of the votes.

I’ve owned this thrifted Express tulle skirt for a few years and have never really known how to wear it without looking like I was trying too hard.

I’ve got to hand it to Katie for being so creative.

Thrift Challenge No.6 Preview: Flower Letter

Last week, we revealed our fifth thrift challenge.  My readers and I thrifted an outfit that Katie (Something to be Found) picked out for us. Cookie and Susan brilliantly recreated a pink maxi and denim jacket outfit using all thrifted items and were both in the running to win a pretty necklace. A winner was chosen at random using random.

Thrift Challenge No. 5 Reveal: Pink Maxi and Denim

I’ve been saying the same thing for last five months on Thrift Challenge reveal day: I am so excited. I can’t think of anything more creative to say because it’s just that – exciting! This month, Katie challenged me to recreate a look that we borrowed from the beautiful Running on Happiness blog. I challenged Katie and her readers to repurpose a chair.

Thrift Challenge No. 4: Blush and Leather

We’re back with the fourth segment of our Thrift Challenge! For April, Katie challenged me to recreate this adorable brown leather and blush street style look. I love mixing soft pieces with tougher ones so I was really looking forward to this challenge.

I already owned a thrifted Forever 21 blush dress that I picked up at the Village for $4.

Thrift Challenge No. 4: Blush and Leather

Are you ready for the next segment of the Thrift Challenge? I sure am! For April, Katie assigned this adorable blush dress with leather jacket outfit for me to recreate. Although I can’t locate the original link, I know it came from Stockholm Street Style images. As you can see from yesterday’s style post, I love brown and tan leather jackets so this was an exciting assignment for me.
