Goodwill Good Style Fashion Show Recap

Earlier this month I participated in the Goodwill Good Style fashion show. As always, it’s an absolute blast and such a great way to prove that anyone can thrift shop and look like a million bucks! This was my fourth year participating and it gets easier and more exhilarating every year. My collection, called ThriftAquarium was inspired by under water life, textures, and colors. The entire collection for 12 models cost less than $100. There are many more photos and videos to come in the coming weeks, but for know here’s a recap of the show’s excitement!

My color palette: I’ve found that it really helps to stick with a color palette when styling an entire collection so it’s cohesive and makes sense to the audience. I stuck with cobalt blue, teal, and hints of coral and gold.

Textures: I stuck with sequins (of course), embellishments, metallics, and any textures that reminded me of underwater life or waves.

Hair & Makeup: my sister rocked the house once again this year with the hair and makeup. She used seashell necklaces as hair accessories, bold pink lips for some of the models, mermaid waves, and an ocean blue palette for the eyes. It was beautiful!

Music: Girl Power playlist. Access it here.

Models: My friends plus two adorable mini models that we saved till the very end.

Ray Ray was a rockstar on the runway!
Jenna rocked the runway too!
