Let’s face it. If I sleep through three alarms in the morning there’s just no time for dilly-dallying before work. My makeup routine has to be done in less than 10 minutes or easily applicable in the parking lot at work or in the office bathroom.
Guys, I’m not kidding when I tell you this is easy. I’m really not that creative with my hair. Half the time I have no idea what I’m doing. Ever since I chopped my hair off this past winter, it’s been much more manageable so I’ve been open to new ideas.
Manicure anxiety is real, guys. I’ve mentioned several times on this blog about my lack of decision making skills and the nail salon is no exception. One time the manicurist got so impatient with me because I went in with full intentions to get a nude color and ended up with fire engine red after going back and forth about a dozen times.

When I hosted a beauty workshop with my sister last spring, she swore by the beauty blender. I kept wondering what all the hype was about, isn’t it just a sponge? Apparently not. This five-time Allure winner evenly distributes your foundation or concealer, leaving your face looking smooth, even, and airbrushed.

Anastasia’s tag line should be: Eyebrows on Fleek. My sister introduced me to the Dipbrow pomade at our beauty workshop and I’ve used it every single day since. I was a little intimidated at first because I have had horrible experiences filling in my eyebrows so I was hesitant to spend $18 on this.
The Wet Brush has me feeling like Marcia Brady
I’ve had The Wet Brush in my amazon cart for a few years, ever since a hair stylist at a salon brushed my hair using this product. I couldn’t believe how easily she got all the tangles out of my long unruly hair.
So here’s the deal: my sister Nora is a beauty magician.
I tend to get easily overwhelmed watching YouTube tutorials. I needed a deep dive with real-life, hands-on examples. So I invited my sister over to host a beauty workshop.

I’m a matte lipcolor kind of girl. I don’t like gloss or shine and shudder at the thought of shimmer anywhere near my face. In addition to the Revlon matte color that I blogged about last year, Kat Von D’s liquid lipstick makes my absolute, hell yeah must-have list.
Remember when the models wore temporary henna tattoos for my Moroccan Holiday collection at the Goodwill fashion show? Ever since then I’ve wanted to get a real henna design on my hands. Henna is a tree and the dye comes from the henna plant. Traditionally used in ceremonies and weddings, henna is popular in the Middle East, India, Pakistan, and North Africa.
