How To: Get Rid of Hair Static- 6 Static Solutions

My hair has been unmanageable for the last 2 weeks. Styling my hair has become completely pointless because I end up looking like I just got electrocuted. Wearing a scarf today was a complete joke. I am fed up with winter static. I need something that won’t weigh my hair down too much where it starts to look oily and greasy. A friend of mine suggested rubbing a dryer sheet on my hair.

Beauty Audit: OPI Drip Dry

There are so many fast drying nail products out, but the best results I’ve found so far is with OPI’s Drip Dry. Nails dry in about 5 minutes.

1. Paint your nails
2. Apply a top coat
3. Wait 60 seconds
4. Apply one drop of OPI Drip Dry per nail with the dropper.

Everything Else: Miss Dior Cherie Commercial

This has to be the only fragrance commercial I’ve liked. They’re usually pretty corny, with half naked men and women walking around, dripping with some type of oil staring off into the distance and walking around in circles. This commercial is absolutely adorable. I love the song and how playful it is.

Loving: R2 Bauer Bootie

I first spotted this R2 Bauer Bootie at a Filene’s Basement during my visit to Chicago last month. I tried, and tried to squeeze my size 7.5 foot into a 6.5 and it just wasn’t going to happen. I made sure to store the item number in my phone for future stalking purposes. I was thrilled to find they were the first hit that came up in a google search.

How To: Wear Red Tights

This is something I’m really struggling with. I bought red tights last winter, and they are still in the packaging. With the fear of looking like an elf, I’ve avoided them although I really love the way other people have pulled them off. My How To posts are usually ones that I personally put together, but this time I’m completey stumped.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

Batiste Dry shampoo in original scent.
Aresol spray
5.5 oz bottle
Available at Sally’s, Amazon and various drugstores online.

A good friend of mine swears by Batiste Dry Shampoo, and suggested it to my sisters and I some time ago. Like many, I don’t like to wash my hair everyday to avoid drying it out, so this product really interested me.

City Spotlight: Dance Dance Party Party

A few weeks ago I shared a post about dancing as a workout following my first failed attempt at Zumba class. I did go back to class and found it a lot easier the second time around, but what I’ve also discovered is something I’ve been looking for all along.
Dance Dance Party Party is basically an all girls dance party.

Loving: Black Faux Fur Vest

I think the faux fur vest is a bold trend. But the more I see it around, the more I like it. I can only see myself wearing a black faux fur vest as of now. I’m especially a fan of the black vests layered with an all black ensemble like Olivia Palermo’s head to toe black look here.
