My co-worker, who also happens to share an appreciation for black and white, gave me the best tip when I wore this outfit to work. Because she travels a lot, she focuses on packing several black and white pieces and throws in bright accessories; like a red scarf, colored shoes, and so on. I thought this was such a great idea because the possibilities seem endless when working with a black and white combination.

Here, I layered a Target black and white sweater with a thrifted Old Navy bubble gum pink blouse to wear with ankle pants for the office. Although not all thrifted, this entire outfit was really a great steal. I’ve had my eye on the ankle pants for six months but I wasn’t willing to get a larger size after I gained weight, so I decided to wait until I lost a few inches. By the time the inches came off, I had enough Shopkicks to cash in at Target to get these bad boys for free!

Pants / $25 / Target (got them for free with Shopkicks)
