We’re talking about clothing, accessories, and shoes donning words and phrases that speak to us. Sporting clothing and accessories with phrases, quotes, or words is not only a great way to express yourself but it’s also a fun addition to any wardrobe that can easily be dressed up or down.
The best part about this prompt is that it’s also one you can easily create at home by shopping your own closet. Pull out a t-shirt, tote bag, or jean jacket from your closet and iron-on phrases or words. Or you can support local by collaborating with local screen printing or lettering designers like @encourageco.
How to add a “dash of words”
Look for interesting pieces that speak to your personal style and ones you won’t regret wearing several years from now.
Mild:
One of the easiest and most fun ways to add a simple “dash of words” is by thrifting graphic tees. You can also look for subtle pieces like denim jackets with small patches or simple lettering. Also, be sure to shop all sections at Goodwill. We’ve found some of the best graphic tees in the men’s section!
Medium:
For the next level up with this theme, opt for bolder pieces like a pair of shoes, purse, or statement earrings with writing.
Spicy:
If you’re feeling bold, search places like Goodwill for vintage sweaters or jackets.
