Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation

I think it’s safe to say that the search for a great coverage foundation is over. I liked Mac’s Studio Fix had mixed feelings about Benefit’s Hello Flawless (won’t buy that one again) and now I’m loving Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 12-hour full coverage foundation in tan honey.

What I like:

  • This foundation makes my face glow. It glides on, blends in, and allows me to build coverage when needed.
  • Covers all of my scars and red marks.
  • It evens my skin out but the consistency isn’t too thick. It’s just right.
  • It looks great in photos.
  • Has SPF 15
  • Oil-free
  • The little tube goes a long way
  • I had problems and apparently many other people did as well, with Benefit’s Hello Flawless just not setting, meaning it would end up all of your sunglasses, clothes, or hands if you touched your face. I even tried powder and that didn’t work, it was gross. This sets wonderfully into my skin.

{my friend Shanie made me this super cute glitter love you sign}

What I don’t like

  • This does not last 12 hours. I’d say about 6.
  • Although a great foundation, $38 is a bit high. I think it should be $30. Good thing I cashed in my Shopkicks at Sephora and got $20 off!
