When I had adult braces a few years back, I got into the habit of using electric toothbrushes. I’ve had my highs and lows with some brands. There was the time my brush ran out of battery juice and I was too lazy and forgetful to pick up batteries for weeks so I had to use an awful backup toothbrush that made my gums bleed. Then there was the time the brand rubbed off the brush so when it came time to pick up replacement heads at the store, I was at a total loss because I forgot which model I had. Who knew brushing your teeth could be so dramatic?
Enter Goby. If you follow Dina’s Days on Instagram you may have caught my story when I unboxed this beauty of a toothbrush. I wanted to give it a few weeks before I posted the review. Let me start by saying I can’t believe how excited I am to brush my teeth everyday.
First of all, the limited edition all-black Goby kit is so sophisticated it almost doesn’t even look like a toothbrush in my bathroom. The kit includes
- 1 Goby brush
- 1 brush head
- 1 hygienic stand
- 1 USB charging shell
- 1 USB converter
- 1 brush head cover
A toothbrush with a USB charger? This is some serious technology right here. After brushing my teeth twice a day for several weeks, I’m still working off one full charge. I never have to worry about replacing batteries or using that awful backup toothbrush again!
OK, now the important stuff, like brushing my teeth. The brush has two speed settings; one regular speed and one slower one for sensitive teeth. My teeth are very sensitive so I’ve been enjoying the slower speed very much. Best part, the brush vibrates every 30 seconds to alert you to move to the next quadrant in your mouth and then automatically shuts off after two minutes. The head and bristles glide over my teeth leaving my mouth feeling incredibly clean. I haven’t had to replace the head yet, but when it’s time replace it, a blue light comes on the brush. You can subscribe to automatically have new heads sent out to you every one, two or three months.
I don’t like having my toothbrushes exposed so I really love the head cover. Although I find that sometimes when I snap the cover I trap some of the bristles, though thankfully it hasn’t damaged the bristles.
Electric toothbrushes can be expensive. With its sleek design and functionality, I assumed Goby was going to be widely expensive when in fact, it’s very reasonably priced. Check out the all-black Goby brush kit and save more by subscribing to automatically receive your new brush heads.
