Over the last few years, anytime my husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I was a loss for ideas. It’s because I really don’t need anything and the older I get, the more I hate clutter of unnecessary things. A couple of birthdays ago, I simply asked for a plant and a letter and I haven’t looked back since. Communication is key in a relationship, and since getting married last year I’m learning it’s not always easy. We all fall into routines and get suppperrr comfortable with our significant others. Routine and comfort are some of the greatest things of long term relationships, but a reminder of how you got there is just as important. A handwritten letter on holidays was the perfect gift.
Now that we’re about 5 letters deep, I really look forward to it. You can imagine my excitement when I found these Letters to My Love books. You write now, read it later (or right away if you want). We wrote our first letter in this book on Christmas and will did it again for Valentine’s Day. Another great way to do this is to write a letter, seal it, and open it when you’re arguing. It’ll snap you right back to reality.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
