I only had a few minutes to get ready in the midst of preparing appetizers for a little get together at my apartment with friends recently. I wanted to wear something comfortable enough for lounging yet still somewhat festive. Without thinking, I grabbed the tutu. Some of you may remember that I picked this up from the Valentine's Day themed items at Old Navy in the little girl's section about a year or so ago because I've worn this skirt on the blog before, but the styling was completely different. In this look, I didn't want the top to be too edgy so I kept it somewhat casual with the chambray but added a touch of edginess with the snake print shoes. Considering this skirt was made for a girl 18 years my junior, the waist band is a little awkward so I added a belt to hide some imperfections. I am really loving this ring layering thing lately as seen in the
black & gold post, it's such an easy yet unexpected way to accessorize with your rings!

It does! I love the sort of ombré effect in the skirt, and the tied denim top, so cute! :)
