I've always been a huge fan of Kenra's moisturizing shampoo/ conditioner and hot spray so I wasn't surprised when the Kenra Matte Texture Putty 10 became an instant favorite. Texture putty can be difficult to manage sometimes, especially if it's a poor quality putty. I was a little nervous I'd end up with greasy chunks in my hair after using this but I was very impressed with the consistency and finish of this.
How I use it:
A little goes a long way. I usually apply a small amount when I style my hair using a curl wand to hold the waves and it works wonders for styling bangs. Keeping a sleek ponytail back all day long is close to impossible with my hair type, but I apply a little bit of the texture putty and it keeps everything in place for hours. It says you can apply this to dry or damp hair, I usually only apply it to dry hair.
What I like:
Kenra promises that this product is easy to rework throughout the day and I'm going to have to agree. Not many putty hair products can say the same. I've used some before that just leave me looking like a big chunky, grease ball all day. It has a way of blending in with your hair so even though it last for a while, you can still change things up without it leaving your hair feeling hard and dry.
I think this product will work best for short hair styles, especially if you have bangs or a choppy cut. $16 might seem like a lot for some for a 2 oz size but trust me, this will last for a very long time.
Thank you Jayne Morehouse for providing me with this product!
