Outfit Outlet: Accessorizing Solid Pieces

As much as I love printed skirts and dresses, accessorizing solid pieces is one of my favorite things to do with my wardrobe because a necklace or earring can completely change the feel of your look. I wear this top often, and have featured it on the blog before. Here, I was feeling kind of pink lemonade-ish so I color blocked using the bib necklace as my focal point. The blazer and necklace aren't the exact same shade so it's not too matchy matchy. The blazer is an Ann Taylor via Salvation Army purchase (new with tags) for $3 and is one of my favorite thrift store finds because it is perfect for work and play.  It started pouring rain as soon as the shutter went off hence the look of horror on my face in this picture. I took one shot and I was out of there. I look like I just saw a ghost.

Ann Taylor blazer via The Salvation Army • Silk vintage top • Dillard's beaded bib necklace • some teeny bopper brand jeans from Gabriel Brothers • Cynthia Vincent for Target wedges • flea market ring
