Music: Pandora Listening - Ray LaMontagne Radio
It's always fun to take a peek into the music libraries of other people. One of the things I do with my family and friends is exchange the names of our favorite Pandora stations, it really opens up the opportunity to introduce new songs and artists into your music collection, and even bring back those old and forgotten songs. Pandora stations have replaced the "mix tapes" and "mix cds" of the 80's, 90's and early 2000's. I'm hoping to commit to a new feature on Dina's Days where I get to engage with my readers and followers about their favorite music and Pandora playlists. One of my permanent Pandora stations is the Ray LaMontagne station. His earthly voice, soulful arrangements, and heart-felt lyrics leave me "thumbs up-ing" every single of one of his songs. Widely popular for his song Trouble, he's built up quite the fan base over the last few years beyond the folk scene. When tuning into this mellow station, expect to hear from artists inluding Ryan Adams, Andrew Duhon, Amos Lee, Iron & Wine, a little Jack Johnson, and every now and then you'll hear some Otis Redding and Sam Cooke mixed in there too. Are you a Ray LaMontagne fan? Below, Shelter (live) and All the Wild Horses by Ray LaMontagne.
